Local Subaru Chooses ClackCoKids as Hometown Charity for “Share the Love”
By Natalie Hornstein, Community Engagement Manager |
Lithia Subaru of Oregon City has chosen Clackamas County Children’s Commission as their hometown charity for this year’s “Share the Love” fundraising event!
From November 16th though January 2nd, Oregon City Subaru will donate a portion of each car purchase to a charity of the buyer’s choosing. Buyers can select one of a few different nation-wide charities, or, a local option – and the staff at Lithia Subaru will be advocating with buyers to choose for their donations to make a local impact by donating to ClackCoKids! With the dealership matching a portion of the donations, up to $300 per vehicle sold could be donated to ClackCoKids when the buyer chooses us as their beneficiary.
“When considering a hometown charity, we often want to work with an organization that might not always get the funds or publicity other larger organizations get,” says Cory Fay, General Sales Manager at Oregon City Subaru. “Clackamas County Children’s Commission supports our goal of shining a light on an organization that reaches many in our local community, as well as can use our support to let others know of the amazing work being done by Clackamas County Children’s Commission. Our donation is just a small part of showing support for our local community and the charities within Clackamas County.”
The dealership also supported ClackCoKids earlier this summer with a canned food drive, where they collected two 60-gallon bins full of food for children and families in our programs, including much needed infant formula.
Thank you to Lithia Subaru of Oregon City for your partnership, and for choosing to include us in this incredible opportunity to gain community support for our mission to support the growth of healthy children and families, positive parenting, and school readiness.
