How Healthy Families Serves Clackamas County

By Chantel Brumbaugh, Family Support & Community Outreach Specialist |

Healthy Families is a free, voluntary home visiting program for families with brand new babies and prenatal parents. We are a parent support program that empowers, encourages and strengthens the parent-child bond through an empathetic approach. We offer family-focused weekly home visits, parent-child activities, connections to community resources and viable tools with the goal to partner with parents and families as they navigate parenting.

During weekly home visits, your Family Support Specialist will spend about an hour with you in the comfort of your own home to support you in building your relationship with your baby by bringing fun activities for you to do together while learning about their cues, personality and development. We work closely with your schedule to find a time that best suits your needs.

Your Family Support Specialist will answer any specific questions you have about your baby’s health, growth, and development. Family Support Specialists are not here to tell you what to do or how to be a parent, but to support you, and provide you with information so you can make the best choices for your family.

To apply for our home visiting services, please call our mainline at 503-675-4565, or visit www.clackcokids.org/apply to start an application today.
