Five Stars for ClackCoKids!

By Raylene Donaldson, CCCC Education Manager |

Did you know that our centers are Spark 5-star rated?

All of our centers throughout Clackamas County have achieved a 5-star rating from Spark, which is a statewide program that assesses program quality in early learning. But what exactly does that mean?

It means our programs have demonstrated excellence in the 5 assessed domains: Learning and Development, Health and Safety Practices, Family Partnerships, Personnel Qualifications, and Program Management (Policies and Procedures). The reviewers look at our curricula, instruction, classroom design, staff education and training, sanitation and food services, program structure and so much more, and based on that evidence award a program a 3, 4, or 5-star rating.

Clackamas County Children’s Commission is committed to providing the highest quality services to children and families and we thank our staff, who have dedicated themselves to this work and have been so critical to our ability to accomplish this honor.
