COVID-19 Policy Update
By Georgia Ullmann; ClackCoKids Health Services Specialist |
Since the beginning of the pandemic we have all had to deal with a lot of change. Now that some time has passed and more research has been completed, we know better than ever about precautions that can stop the spread of COVID-19, and how to prevent our children, families, and staff from getting sick.
We also know that this virus is not going away, which means that we have to layer on precautions when COVID-19 cases are high, and we can remove some precautions when cases are low. Starting July 1st, ClackCoKids’ precautions will be determined by whether our county is in “low,” “medium,” or “high” risk-level according to the CDC’s “COVID-19 Community Levels”. Masking is still required by the Office of Head Start, so that precaution has to remain the same regardless of our community risk-level until the Office of Head Start changes its policy.
Visit www.clackcokids.org/covid for up-to-date information on our current county level, and which precautions are in place. You can bookmark this page on your browser to be used as a helpful tool for all your COVID-19 questions.
Thank you for partnering with us as we navigate these uncertain times together.
