Attendance is Important…Everyday Counts!

Everyday Counts for Our Little Learners!

When children attend school regularly, they get the full benefit of a rich early learning experience that sets them up for success in school and in life! By building strong attendance habits early, we’re giving our kids the best start possible. Together—families, teachers, and staff—can make a big difference in helping every child thrive.

Why does attendance matter?

What happens in preschool lays the foundation for great habits in kindergarten and beyond. Research shows that missing just 10% of the school year—about 18 days—can impact learning and development.

Regular attendance helps children:

  • Grow in early literacy and math skills
  • Build positive relationships with teachers and friends
  • Learn routines that make school feel safe and fun
  • Develop habits that prepare them for kindergarten success

How can you help your child attend every day?

  • Set a consistent bedtime and morning routine; prep clothes and backpacks the night before
  • Let your child’s teacher know if they’ll be absent
  • Share tips with other parents for getting to school on time
  • Ask a friend or neighbor for help if needed
  • Schedule non-urgent appointments after school

Healthy kids attend more often! Want to learn what to do when your child gets sick? Join our “What to Do When Your Child Is Sick” class for helpful tips. See the full list of classes here.

Parents who are currently enrolled get first priority when signing up for classes. Families on the waitlist are next in line. After that, our community is invited to join any open class!

Let’s work together to make everyday count!
